The Camp Read Health Lodge is staffed by New York State licensed EMT’s and/or higher. Due to Department of Health restrictions, the staff is only permitted to provide advanced first aid to all participants, regardless of training and experience. No over-the-counter medication administration or advanced screening of illness or injury is permitted. If a participant needs more assistance than can be offered, they will be promptly directed to a capable urgent care or the local emergency department. This does not mean avoid coming in if you are sick or injured. Please still notify a staff member if you become ill during your time with us and we will do our best to assist you and make arrangements.
For the summer of 2026, the Camp Read Health Office will be staffed from June 27th thru August 12th.

Annual Health & Medical Record (AHMR)
This form, with Part C signed by your physician, is required for EVERY person staying overnight at Summer Camp. Regardless of youth or adult, single night or full summer.

Immunization Requirements
Meningitis Form
In addition to listing this vaccination on your AHMR immunization history, this form is required for any youth staying overnight for 7 nights or more. *Note, a standard camp week is only 6 nights.
This form does NOT require a physicians signature, only the parent needs to fill out and sign it.
Food Allergies & Special Needs
These forms can be found at www.ghvscouting.org/read/forms and should NOT be submitted with your medical forms. Please remember to continue to note the appropriate details on your AHMR for our Health Officers. Instructions are found on the forms for submitting them properly.
