Plan Ahead When Submitting Adult Applications
Scouting safely remains out top priority and beginning March 4th, 2024, the Boy Scouts of America will enact a new adult application process. The updated process requires that the results of a Criminal Background Check (CBC) must be received BEFORE a new adult volunteer can assume a leadership role.
Once an application is processed, the prospective leader's status will be listed as "pending." The adult leader will then receive an email notice informing them that their registration is being processed and they are not to assume any leadership role until the completion of the CBC process.
Once the CBC results are acceptable and completed, the applicant and unit key 3 will be notified by email. This means all applications for adult leaders attending camp should be submitted to the Service Center or online at least 14 days before their camping session.
