Read MB and Activity Change

Scout Leader:

I wanted to reach out and update you about this summer at the Curtis S. Read Scout Reservation.

1. Update on Program  – Due to Staffing Issues we have had to make some very hard decisions about some Camp Programs.
   1. Aquatics – we are only going to be able to run one Waterfront at a time.  It has been decided that we will run the Waubeeka Waterfront in the morning and Buckskin in the afternoon.  This will require anyone that was signed up for an Aquatic Merit Badge to review their schedule and resign up for a Time Slot that works for them.

1. 1. 1. Small Boat Sailing & BSA Lifeguard will not be offered this summer
      2. Lifesaving will only be offered in the morning at Waubeeka
      3. Rowing & Canoeing will be offered at Waubeeka in the morning
      4. Swimming and Kayaking will be offered at both Waubeeka and Buckskin
      5. We will update you with more information about Swim Tests as your week of camp becomes closer.
   2. Equestrian – We were unable to secure an Equestrian Director, so all Equestrian activities have been cancelled.
   3. Mountain Biking – We were unable to secure a Mountain Bike Director, so all Mountain Biking activities have been cancelled.
   4. STEM Ranch – We are removing 1 – Electricity class and 1 – Robotics class.
   5. Space Exploration – moved to Buckskin Ecology (1 class)

2. We have a new Food Service Company – Chartwells.  Please fill out and return any Dietary Restriction Forms as soon as possible - Food-and-Dietary-Needs-Form.pdf (ghvscouting.org)
3. Waubeeka Menu will be posted as soon as possible.  We are working with Chartwells on the final details.

   8. Program Staff (16+)
